Our School-Site Program & School Partners
RodneyStreet partners with local schools to introduce tennis and life skills throughout the academic year. Our school outreach programs, or "play-weeks", compliment and reinforces the values, culture, and learning the schools provide, while adding an introduction to the lifetime sport of tennis.
Current School Partners Include:
RodneyStreet trains qualified tennis instructors, who work with a representative from each school, to infuse life skills in to each tennis lesson. We introduce tennis to students in our partner schools in their regular PE classes for either a week or day, where we aim to weave the skills and learnings of the sport into their everyday lives. This also provides a safe and familiar setting for students to try something new if they are unfamiliar with tennis.
RodneyStreet utilizes the existing infrastructure of the school environment to support the social and personal development of each student. Together, RodneyStreet and the school implement programs that deliver comprehensive tools that can help students succeed now and in the future.
